Nicolet Avenue Apartments
The Nicolet Avenue project is comprised of the rehabilitation of two buildings in Los Angeles’ Baldwin Village community. This project is located in this urban enclave of well-established single family homes and medium-density apartment complexes. The Nicolet Avenue project was developed to meet the larger housing needs of the area’s low-income families. Prior to rehabilitation, the buildings had become a source of blight due to poor property management and neglect by the owner. Bedford, in collaboration with CEDC, refurbished the existing structures to develop an affordable community of fourteen 14 three-bedroom, two-bathroom units ranging in size from 1,224 to 1,578 square feet.
