Avalon Terrace

The Avalon Terrace project is located in the City of Los Angeles’ Athens community. This newly constructed affordable housing development consists of a 24-unit complex over a 48-stall subterranean parking garage. The project offers residents 12 two-bedroom units at 870 square feet each, and 12 three-bedroom units at 1,011 square feet each.

Prior to developing the project, the 17,320 square foot vacant lot was an eye sore of the Athens community. For several years, the site had been a source of neighborhood blight since being used as an area for garbage disposal.

Recognizing that the site was ideally situated in an existing community of well-established single-family homes and multi-family dwellings, and located along major corridors, The Bedford Group and its non-profit partner, Corridor Economic Development Corporation, believed the site would make an excellent location for a new affordable housing development.
